Non-native English speaking students will be tested as part of the application process to determine their English level. Students who have a low English level will be placed in an intensified English as an Additional Language (EAL) class. These are pull out classes that typically meet once each day. Students will be tested throughout the school year to track and assess their progress. Please view the Admission Policy on the GGIS website for admission requirements regarding English language abilities.
This EAL program has a fee that will be determined by the end of August of each school year. See Tuition Fees for more information.
While the school respects all nationalities and cultures, in order to enhance English learning, it is required that only English be spoken by students while on school property. Comprehension and fluency come only through consistent use of the language and immersion is the most effective way to achieve this.
